Satellite TV for Caravans
Various systems and configurations are available costing from $250 up to fully automatic costing $3500 or more
An average system comprised of a Set Top Box {STB}, with or without card slots, a suitable dish, about 85-90 Cms,
a tripod stand for the dish, A Low Noise Block {LNB}, or the compact MiniMax assembly which has the dish, mount and
LNB all in one easy to use unit and has its own storage bag as well, a cable to connect the dish/lnb to the van, approx 10mtrs,
a wallplate with a 40mm extension to connect outside to inside, a smaller length cable {2 Metres} to connect the
wallplate to the STB and three cables with RCA { red, white & yellow} fittings to connect the STB to the TV or
flat screen monitor is quite easy and simple to set-up and use. The use of a Satellite Finder Meter makes finding and locking
onto the satellite a very simple and easy process.
The STB's vary from very basic right up to dual connection {satellite & terrestrial} sets that are able to record, timeshift
and playback your choice of program, twin card units for extra choice of programs using subscription cards {Austar
SelecTV etc} and various others in between.

Central 7 from Townsville, Imparja {mix of 10 & 9} from N.T while travelling in the eastern
half of Australia,
ABC {5} SBS {4} GWN which is Channel 7 and WIN which is channel 9 while travelling in the western half of Australia.
